Mountain Therapy is run by me, Nia Harries, and began trading in July 2013 in South Wales, at the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Having been interested in complementary therapies for several years; and having enjoyed many wonderful different treatments the world over, I looked into complementary therapy a little more and finally decided to train in some of these therapies myself.
After returning to education as a mature student I became a fully insured member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. I have a diploma in complementary therapies as well as additional IHHT qualifications in Swedish massage, anatomy and physiology and facial skincare. I am also a practitioner in Indian head massage, hot stone massage, pregnancy massage and Thermo-auricular therapy, and have done voluntary work with cancer patients and their carers in the past.
Following a successful time in Wales, I had a break from therapies when I relocated to the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and settled into my new home; I did take up a small space in a clinic in Yorkshire but this wasn't quite the right time for me to re-visit Mountain Therapy, and so there was another break.
I have continued to be passionate about Health and Wellness even with the break in delivering treatments, and you can find out more about this on the links page of this site.
I'm now just starting to learn Reiki, living in the Midlands, and am excited to be offering healing treatments once again in the coming months- watch this space!
